Days, months, and the time
Days, months, and seasons are all masculine, and they take am (on the) and im (in the): am Montag, im Juli, im Sommer. Times take um: um acht Uhr.
For the time on the clock, Uhr does the work: Es ist drei Uhr. You'll learn halb, Viertel, and the 24-hour clock properly in A2 — this lesson gives you enough to make an appointment.
By the end you can:
- name the days of the week and the months
- say on Monday, in July, and at eight o'clock
- talk about today, tomorrow, and yesterday
